<![CDATA[Calling All Angels in Leotards! Angel Tree Gifts Due to the Gym by Monday, Dec 18, at 10 AM]]>Sun, 17 Dec 2017 18:13:06 GMThttp://northbayathletics.com/news/calling-all-angels-in-leotards-angel-tree-gifts-due-to-the-gym-by-monday-dec-18-at-10-am
The deadline for gift drop-off is Monday, December 18 at 10 AM! (Santa needs a few days to pick up the gifts after all.)

'Tis the season for giving, and our children want to give back to their community.
In cooperation with News 10 (ABC) and The Salvation Army, NBAA Gymnastics is sponsoring as many as two hundred disadvantaged children in the Vallejo community as part of the ANGEL TREE campaign.

Our gymnasts, their families and community volunteers are invited to choose an Angel Tag from the tree on display at NBAA. Each tag contains the first name, age, gender, and size of a needy child in our community. While there is no set dollar amount, the program requests that the gifts be age and gender appropriate. The tag is then attached to the unwrapped gift.

Tags and gifts must be returned to NBAA Gymnastics at 415 Mississippi Street, Vallejo, CA 94590, by Monday, December 18, before 10 AM.

For more information, please contact NBAA at 707.643.9622, or you may call 707.332.6240.

NBAA GYMNASTS AND COACHES WEAR BLUE TO SUPPORT NATIONAL DIABETES AWARENESS MONTH, #TEAMBREANNA, AND THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION.

The vision of the American Diabetes Association is a life free of diabetes and all of its burdens. Raising awareness of this ever-growing disease is one of the main efforts behind the mission of the Association. American Diabetes Month® (ADM) is an important element in this effort, with programs designed to focus the nation's attention on the issues surrounding diabetes and the many people who are impacted by the disease.

Here are just a few of the recent statistics on diabetes:
 • Nearly 30 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes.
 • Another 86 million Americans have prediabetes and are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
 • The American Diabetes Association estimates that the total national cost of diagnosed diabetes in the United States is $245 billion.

American Diabetes Month takes place each November and is a time to come together as a community to Stop Diabetes®!
More information on National Diabetes Awareness Month and the American Diabetes Association can be found on the ADA fact sheet which you can DOWNLOAD HERE. Or, visit the ADA website at <www.diabetes.org>.
